Parker and I took a little side trip today. Hwy 263 had it's bridge over Neshaminy Creek replaced some time ago, but the old Eight Arch Bridge was left in place. It's the last remaining eight arch bridge in Pennsylvania. A hand laid stone and mortar 218 foot long structure with distinctive and graceful arches, the bridge was built in 1803. It's now part of Dark Hollow Park. The creek meanders through the park for some distance. It may be worth taking both boys to just to walk up and down its banks.
