I don't know how it got into Payton's head, but he has had the idea of having a kool-aid stand. Maybe Mama-Mi gave him the idea. We saved some boxes from our move and today we put it all together. Kathleen went to the store to get the supplies. I put together the stand. Even though it is primarily cardboard, I got to use my air tools on it - yeah! Payton painted the sign and it is the pièce de résistance of the whole stand.
We have the prime spot for a kool-aid stand. We are right on the corner in and out of the neighborhood. Our corner is under a nice shade tree and it was a hot one today.
Payton sold lemonade and fruit punch kool-aid. He also had slices of watermelon for 25¢. He ran his stand for an hour, maybe an hour and a half. Between customers he and Parker sampled the product. He sold about $4 worth, but raked in about $15. Our neighborhood was very generous.
