Payton fakes Mom out

This past June, Payton made a sleeping dummy of himself to fake Mom out when she got home from her business trip. Mom got home really late, too late for Payton. He fell asleep in the chair waiting for her. She did come home and Payton did fake her out.

It was hell this morning

Yesterday I sent the boys to their rooms with instructions to clean them. I left them alone to do so. I had nothing to do or nowhere to go. I mowed the yard. I watched TV. The day went by. The evening came and went. Bedtime.

This morning I got up and went to check on Payton's room. It was a disaster. I think the only thing he picked up was the TV remote. In short, my short fuse went off and I was on the boy's arses all morning about cleaning up. Within three hours Payton's room was cleaned up - Parker's too. And for good measure I sent them downstairs and they cleaned the basement as well.

I'm getting older and older

 Today was my birthday. If fact it is still my birthday, at least for a couple of hours. Kathleen fixed us a nice dinner and afterwards we had cake and ice cream. And what a cake it was. What can be better than a hamburger cake?

 

 

Funny thing, we only ate about a third of the cake. Well alright, maybe it was an easy half. Anyhow, Kathleen walked into the kitchen and saw Parker wiping his face off with a wash cloth. He turned and saw her and just said "Nothing". Kathleen looked at the cake and all the frosting on top of the cake had been wiped off. Parker!

Garage update

Our garage is getting closer and closer to being completed. All of the final inspections are done and documented. Yesterday I laid 1,000 sq. ft. of sod for the driveway and a little around the sides. We only need to put in a little decorative landscaping and it'll be all done.

Baseball season has begun

Payton's playing roboball this year. Last Saturday was his first game. He did okay. He had a little disinterest on defense, but he did well on offense. He had four at bats with four hits.

The week before Easter, our church held an Easter egg hunt after services. Payton zoomed around helping Parker find eggs. Together they collected a small bounty. A week later on Easter day Kathleen set up an Easter egg hunt in the back yard. We were finding eggs a week later.

Spring break in the Poconos

We spent park of Payton's spring break in the Poconos at Great Wolf Lodge. The boys loved the water park and both boys became super Magi's.

The Lottsa Water Dump Zone is always fun. A thousand gallons of water all dumped at once. Parker got knocked to his knees.
